HEART HEROES
This year, our state presidents, Paula Volker and Rob Humphreys, have chosen Heart Heroes as their state charity.
WSP Rob Humphreys and MSP Paula Volker selected this charity because Paula had three very close loved ones who passed away from heart disease. While attending a supper with the grand madam president in York, she received a call from Rhonda about Bellevue raising $10,000 for an organization called Heart Heroes. As Paula spoke about it, a friend mentioned that she had recently attended a funeral where everyone wore capes. Paula then visited Google and was determined that when she became president, this would be her charity.
Rob was supportive and has met some Heart Heroes from his area. He was fully committed to the cause. Collaborating with the Heart Heroes organization has been rewarding, and we hope to raise substantial funds for these families.
